Creating a budget for materials and flights in your proposal is essential to ensure that you have enough funds to complete the project. This guide will walk you through the process of estimating the materials and flights budget for your proposal.

Materials Budget

When estimating the materials budget for your proposal, it is essential to account for all the items that you will need to complete the project. These items include:

  • Spray cans
  • Brushes
  • Tape
  • Misc. items needed - extensionsIt is also important to allocate funds for shipping to the location. It is best to estimate 30% of the total order for shipping.

When purchasing materials, ensure that you are getting them at fair market prices minus any discounts or coupons you may receive from the supplier. If you receive a discount from the supplier, you can use it to offset the cost of the project under the business account. If you are unable to secure the discount because you are purchasing the order under WXLLSPACE, you will need to transfer the funds to yourself for purchase or be reimbursed for the balance.

Once you submit your proposal, you will be asked to submit an updated and accurate list to confirm for the project that will be invoiced to the owner.

Flights Budget

When estimating the flights budget for your proposal, you must account for the following:

  • Economy flight plus baggage
  • Ride-sharing (Uber, Lift) to and from the airport

It is important to note that once you submit your proposal, you will be asked to submit all receipts, an updated and accurate list to confirm for the project that will be invoiced to the owner.

Hotel Budget

When estimating the hotel budget for your proposal, you must account for the following:

  • #-star hotel
  • Arrival time

You are only allowed to get one (1) queen or king-size room for you (the artist) for the duration you are working on the project. If your proposal states you will be working for 1 week on the wall, you are allowed one check-in date prior, and one check-out day after each day.

In conclusion, it is essential to be detailed and accurate when estimating the materials, flights, and hotel budgets for your proposal. By accounting for all necessary items and allowing for contingencies such as shipping and discounts, you can ensure that you have enough funds to complete the project successfully.
