Hi! I鈥檓 Angurria, a Dominican Art Director, muralist and illustrator with over 25 years of experience in visual storytelling. My work is deeply influenced by Caribbean culture and the vibrant energy of the Dominican Republic, my country. Through my work I celebrate identity, heritage, and the beauty of everyday life. One of my most personal series, Do帽a Patria, is a tribute to Caribbean women, drawing inspiration from Dominican traditions and everyday life. It celebrates empowerment and cultural pride, themes that are universal and deeply meaningful. One thing I often hear when painting outside the Dominican Republic is how unique our colors feel; they just hit differently. That鈥檚 something I bring to every project, along with a flexible mindset to collaborate and adapt my ideas to fit the space and the people it鈥檚 for.
