Canned Pineapple is the creative vision of Shelby and Buddy Norton, two California-born artists now residing in Nashville, TN. Their work is deeply inspired by years spent living on the road and painting out of their van. It is a direct reflection of their time traveling across the American landscape and the connections they made with the people and places that inspired them. Traditionally trained in the trade of sign painting and gilding they’ve expanded their practice to include murals, as well as paintings. Their work has also been used in collaboration with businesses for branding, product design and event marketing. Embracing the beauty of a nomadic existence and the mysteries uncovered through its struggles, they draw from over ten years of experience. Through color, imagery, and texture, they continue to gather inspiration—capturing the ever-present yet quiet beauty found in the subtle moments of life.
