Claudio Drë, born in Concepción, Chile (1981), is a Chilean-Spanish visual artist based in Barcelona. He began his career in 1996 through graffiti and technical drawing, later transitioning to canvas and experimenting with techniques like oil, acrylic, and spray paint. His studies in design, scenography, and visual arts further enriched his practice. Drë has participated in numerous projects, including murals, exhibitions, documentaries, and publications, extending his influence from Latin America to Europe. His unique style, Abstra Geometra, combines geometric elements in motion with deep atmospheres, marked by vibrant violet-blue tones, positioning him as a versatile, internationally recognized artist. For Drë, art is the act of creation itself, shaped by exploration and dynamism. His work draws inspiration from two interconnected sources: the imperceptible (macro-micro cosmos and the eternal) and the sonic complexity of DarkPsy, which translates synesthetically into color and form, creating his “Mental Landscapes.” His murals, characterized by organic and spontaneous processes, feature movement, spatiality, and a vivid palette, blending geometric abstraction with a psychedelic touch. Drë’s technique involves materials like sprays, plastic paint, and water-based enamel, applied through both traditional and unconventional methods, adding texture and depth to his large-format works.
