About Felipe Talu
Felipe dos Santos Barbosa Morais, known as Talu, graffiti artist born in 1986 in Macaé, in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro, began his career in graffiti in the early 2000s, as one of the pioneers of the practice of graffiti in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Rio de Janeiro, influenced by the urban writing that took place in its city at that time, such as tags and bomb, typography originating from graffiti. Seeking evolution at all times, Talu, inspired by the urban scene, dedicated himself to composing pieces with his name around the city in the Wild Style style (abstract and colorful letters originating from graffiti), always seeking to use a balance between the different colors used. and contrasts with the setting where it is painted. Talu believes that graffiti is a path of socialization of human beings and dialogue between them and the street and that his writings follow a lineage like that of Egyptian hieroglyphics, which forms the link between his art and society, which at the same time seeks understand why, what for and what is written on the streets. Talu is part of some graffiti collectives such as ABL (Academia Brasileira de Letras), SNE (always evolving), OLD SCHOOL WALL project and DREAM TEAM INT. (a collective of graffiti artists from Brazil, Italy and England) and has participated in festivals and exhibitions in 10 states in Brazil and in countries such as the USA, Peru, Venezuela, Italy, Holland and Germany.
