About Lalo

Cleveland native LALO is a new artistic voice known for creating his own worlds that beg to be explored. Through the illustrative language of cartoons, he breaks the barrier between the serious contexts of modern day life and the approachablilty of nostalgic television themes. This continued to his higher education when he studied studio art and art history at Lake Forest College. After a successful debut at Art Basel Miami 2019, he decided to move to Los Angeles to further pursue his career.

Through the visual language of his “biomorph creatures”, he contextualizes shared human experience. Abstract creatures become a vehicle of discussing themes of opposition and duality. LALO’s main characters “Alpha” and “Omega” take shape into different versions of themselves in a constant evolutionary process of physical and emotional states.
