Rhythm of the Boulevard

Through the Community Murals Sacramento program from the Office of Arts and Culture, City of Sacramento. This mural is inspired by the wonderful community members of Old North Sacramento and District 2. In our discussions, residents recalled a vibrant and bustling neighborhood filled with lights, music, and color. My design honors Old North Sacramento's past through archival imagery and also looks forward, imagining the boulevard in the next few years as it emerges as a destination for art, music, and culture.

This mural for Pacific Ridge Builders, a leading general contractor in San Jose, highlights the connection between architecture and nature. It features three African Masked Weavers building their nests, using the building's red stripe as part of their structure. The composition reflects the idea of construction in both the natural and built environments. Made possible by San Jose Local Color, this artwork brings a fresh perspective to the relationship between creativity and building. 18' x 80'
