I was born on June 10th, 1989, in Queens, New York. Growing up in NYC had a huge influence on my artistic and musical upbringing. The transforming neighborhoods and skylines, the fascinating people all with stories to tell, the symphony of sounds and street art are all things that I have absorbed with admiration and reverence. Now, I can reflect these joys and observations on the canvas. I love making intricate illustrations, bright colors, lines, and dashes. In a way, I see my work as a sort of improvised musical genre. Community work is a core to my art path. I began by volunteering art classes and workshops to The Kingsbridge Heights Community center in 2017. That lead to a NYFA artist fellowship and becoming a teaching artist with The Brooklyn Arts Council. At public schools in Brooklyn and Queens, I created enormous murals with students and ran several after-school art clubs. I often donate my artwork and time to community organizations, providing art activities and helping the youth. My mural work led to the creation of the “Kittizen project,” a paint by numbers activity that has brought thousands of people around my canvases. Community goodwill and a ceaseless passion to create led to partnerships and projects with building developers in New York City, creating some of the largest public works in Queens. I believe that art in service to others reaches to our deep desire for connectivity, creation, and collective joy.
