My name is Said Dokins, and I'm an artist based in Mexico City. I started my journey in the graffiti scene during the nineties, where I began exploring alternative cultural practices and their connection with public space. Graffiti and writing, to me, is not just an inscription or a transgression, but a powerful linguistic gesture and a form of political expression. I pursued my passion for the arts by studying Visual Arts at the National School of Plastic Arts, part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. It's been a joy to share my art with the world, particularly through large-scale mural interventions in public spaces. I've had the opportunity to showcase my work in various countries, such as Mexico, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Argentine, Chile, Brazil, El Salvador, Peru, and more. Some of the notable events I've participated in include the Urban Art Festival Pow! Wow! in Doha, Qatar (2021), and the International Contemporary Art Biennale OSTRALE in Germany (2017). Having my work featured in books and magazines across Germany, Mexico, Spain, and the United States has been incredibly rewarding. I'm grateful to have my art appreciated and cherished by various collections worldwide, including the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain, the Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art in Munich, Germany, and the Nuart Street Art Festival in Stavanger, Norway.
