The story
“Sirena was created as a tribute to the natural rhythms of the Indian River—its flora, its fauna, and the interconnected systems that sustain life here. Public art has the power to anchor a place in shared values, and this mural reflects care as an ecosystem—one that connects animals, people, and environment. Mermaid SANDS is built on generosity and stewardship, and the artwork honors that philanthropic spirit while offering a visual welcome into a space dedicated to access, dignity, and compassion.”
