SEYB, was born in Paris in 1973. Heavily influenced by the first generation of Parisian graffiti, he began to paint in the early 90s as a self-taught artist. His favorite area was then located in the suburbs of Paris, specifically in Montreuil, city where he still paints thirty years later. In 2000, SeyB, together with other artists, painted the entire background set of a French television show. This was a seminal moment in his career, as he decided to devote himself entirely to his art after this experience. Throughout the following years, he multiplied collaborations with other artists to improve his technique. Inspired by very different styles such as classical painting and illustration, SeyB's work turned quickly towards painting murals. He acquired a true notoriety which enabled him to work more and more, in France, but also abroad. Expert in perspective and depth of field, SeyB is a fan of very large walls. He is particularly fond of painting sky scenes and is acknowledged by his peers to be a point of reference. Cleverly playing with color gradients and an exceptional light, SeyB's murals are instantly recognizable and allow a real escape into colorful worlds, far from the grayness of cities. SeyB also paints on canvas using different techniques but without ever losing his keen sense of detail. Today, whether on a small, medium, big or very large canvas or wall, SeyB’s work is easily identifiable, at first glance.
