About Ursula X Young
I am a full time artist, muralist & illustrator based in Northern California for more than 20 years. Graduate of Parsons School of Design (Illustration, BFA, New York 1996) and originally from the UK, I now live in the woods near Grass Valley, California.
I've painted murals in places as far-flung as Miami, Costa Rica and the UK - with the majority of my mural projects based around the Bay Area and Sacramento. My largest commissioned painting is an 18' triptych which hangs in the Grand Hyatt in downtown San Francisco. I am also the co-director of Few & Far Women, an International all-female organization of muralists now in our 12th year, and I'm the art director of a summer dance music festival called the Sunset Campout. These projects allow me to connect and collaborate with other artists & communities which I love to do. When I am not in my studio, or out painting walls, I love to travel, dance to house music, get deep into nature and spend time with my family.
