In October 2024, much of the southern part of my city was destroyed by rain and mud; many people lost their homes and even family members. Paiporta was one of the hardest-hit towns. After months of struggle, cleaning up mud, and rebuilding homes, the people of Paiporta wanted to feel like they had a normal life again, so when they called me to paint a mural, my goal was to create a mural that symbolized joy. That kind of joy that isnāt for any particular reasonājust because itās a good day, the sun is shining, youāre listening to your favorite music, and youāre watching the birds in the streets.
