Ornamental Leopard Shark

A leopard shark emerges across three massive panels on the Hyatt Regency facade in Long Beach, rendered in precise naturalistic detail by artist Bublegum. The creature's body spans the composition with anatomical accuracy—spotted underside visible, gill structure defined—while abstract flowing ribbons of rust, ochre, and pale pink sweep around and through the fish, creating movement that extends beyond its physical form. The mural's scale commands the waterfront wall, anchoring the public art to the hotel's modernist architecture.
