Jose Di Gregorio

Currently based out of Sacramento, Ca I have been painting extensively now for over 25 years (full-time for 15 years), and my murals have been featured in festivals and projects internationally and in the U.S. including: Art Basel Miami, Canada, France, Finland, Los Angeles, Kosovo, Mexico, Oakland, Portland, San Francisco & Silicon Valley, Spain, and Sweden, among others. I studied at the Pont-Aven school of contemporary art in Brittany, France, and the Herron School Of Art And Design in Indianapolis, IN. My murals feature precise hand-drawn geometric patterns and celestial nightscapes in vivid gradient colors, with the results having almost indiscernible machine-like line precision. In a more metaphysical context, the work alludes to the sublime vastness of the night sky, allowing the commuter/pedestrian/driver a respite from our immediate surroundings to a more profound notion of 'what are we?'.
