Nicolás Valeiras

My Name is Nicolás Valeiras, I am a plastic artist oriented to muralism since 2012. My beginnings were linked to Graffiti, where I began to familiarize myself with large formats and with the street culture as support. Self-taught I was incorporating tools for the development of my work, participating in various mural events throughout the country, and art interventions in public spaces in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and EEUU. My work revolves around the idea of ​​obsolescence as a production system, the human being and nature. Thinking about how merchandise is produced without restraint, to feed a work system that shines for its injustice and to the detriment of our habitat, is a panorama that terrifies me at times. From the feeling that this produces in me, from the idea that we are the truly obsolete, comes the common thread of my work for some time now.
