About SUPER
Felipe Super is a São Paulo–born, New York–based visual artist whose work bridges graffiti, contemporary
abstraction, and experimental typography. Emerging from Brazil’s street art
scene in the early 2000s, his practice is deeply influenced by pixação—a raw and cryptic
form of urban writing rooted in resistance and identity.
With a background in Photography and Graphic Design, Super develops compositions
that merge industrial structures, geometric systems, and layered visual narratives. His
work explores the tension between order and chaos, structure and instinct, often translating
the rhythm of the city into complex surfaces built through repetition, fragmentation,
and material intervention.
Since relocating to New York in 2018, Super has expanded his practice internationally,
presenting works across the United States, Europe, and South America. Working from
his studio at the World Trade Center, his current research focuses on layered compositions
that challenge traditional visual hierarchies and reflect the unstable, overlapping
nature of contemporary experience.
