“Presented as part of North West Walls, the renowned urban art project within the chill-out area of Belgium’s legendary Rock Werchter festival, Ornamental Elephant reflects Bublegum’s deep connection to both street culture and symbolic imagery. Since its inception, North West Walls has brought together top street artists from around the world to transform towering shipping containers into monumental canvases, blending music, art, and atmosphere in one of Europe’s most celebrated cultural events. In this mural, the elephant is portrayed as a powerful and graceful figure an enduring symbol of strength, wisdom, and fortune across many cultures. The figure holds a graffiti piece within its form, a tribute to the artist’s lifelong love for graffiti and the culture that shaped him. The composition speaks to a personal journey, marked by struggle and chaos, where every step contributed to shaping the artist’s identity. With his signature ornamental style and dynamic use of form and light, Bublegum invites viewers into a layered narrative, one that balances inner strength with artistic expression, leaving a lasting impact on all who experience it.”
