I’m a muralist and mixed media artist, specializing in vibrant portraiture, symbolism and natural elements. My work blends bold color pattern, and storytelling to create murals that feel rooted in their environment and meaningful to communities they inhabit or stories that need to be told. I am especially drawn to projects that center people, place, connection, and the natural world, and I love collaborating with clients and communities to turn ideas into large scale artwork.
The Land Remembers
There is no corner of North America that has not been touched or influenced by the indigenous people who lived here long before the Europeans arrived. And in our little corner of Broadalbin NY, it was the Mohawk people who were the dominant tribe in the Sacandaga area. This mural has historical significance that pertains to their story, and how it ties into ours as a community now. this is a bout a concept that states; all humans have three lives; a public life that we show to everyone, a private life that we only reveal to our closest friends and family and a secret life that consists of our innermost thoughts and actions—only known to ourselves. Our secret life shapes who we actually are. But when you let these three lives drift too far apart, conflict arises and you stop living authentically.

This piece is about falling in love with your forever love. Swallow birds are known for mating for life, and In ancient times, oranges and orange blossoms were associated with love, longevity and fertility. Her hands represent the need for openly giving and receiving in partnership. And in laying down it meant surrendering to the deeply vulnerable act of opening your heart and falling in love.

This Has a lot of personal symbolism behind it. It was my first big-profile mural after having my son, Ozzie. The third eye for intuition. The green figure as a "black girl magic" theme. The butterflies to remember family memebers that are no longer with us.
